About me
Meet Karen Martin...
I have always wanted to write a book. It’s a cliche perhaps, but as an only child, books meant a lot to me. My first job was as a Saturday Girl in the book department at WHSmith in Cirencester. I went on to do a degree in English and History at the University of Southampton, and then taught English Language and Literature for over thirty years.
In 2019, I completed an MA in Writing at the University of Warwick.
So, words and narratives have been the common thread of my life. Memorable Loss is where I got to weave my own story.
My story is inextricably linked with dementia.
I hope it is a book that ends up in the right hands, where it can give hope, blessing and perhaps even joy to those of you loving someone living with dementia.
